Whoever described a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma could have been talking about civil rights legend James Meredith.
The first known African American to attend the University of Mississippi can be alternately brilliant and baffling. You can get a chance to hear him in person tonight (Aug. 14).
Meredith will sign copies of A Mission from God: A Memoir and Challenge for America, which he co-wrote with William Doyle, at 5 p.m. at Lemuria Bookstore.
Here’s a review I did of his book.
An interview with Meredith will follow at Lemuria at 5:30 p.m.
If you were interviewing Meredith, what would you want to know?
